The main agenda of our organization is to rescue reptiles, wild birds etc who are encroaching into suburb / city and to educate people to avoid mishaps. Few members are working from more than decade and have dedicated their time and experience to help human population understand the vital importance of nature and its ecological balance.
Upon getting call from person who has seen any snake or an urban wildlife in stress or within human vicinity, we arrange our rescuer to rescue the urban wildlife from the location.
Release occurs once the animal is fully recovered and has the ability to hunt and survive in the wild.
Our ultimate goal is to provide the best care and chance of survival for urban wildlife.
We conduct awareness programmes on urban wildlife / reptiles in schools , colleges, society, organization etc.
SARRP INDIA is a registered NGO since 2010 that has been rescuing snakes and other urban wildlife animals from buildings and homes since a past decade. We work 24 hours a day, 365 days as our members attend rescue calls all over Mumbai.Â
Saving reptiles and urban animals to prevent disturbance in ecological balance. Unlike other animals, snakes also play vital role to maintain ecological balance.
Basic medication on injured reptiles and birds, and monitoring the improvement. It is often on calls we come across many injured snakes and birds as well as some urban wildlife animals, which are then given medical attention to make it capable to survive in the wild.
Due to increase in construction in the city, there is very little space left for the rehabilitation of snakes, so we take up the responsibility to rehabilitate them in right place.
Organization has conducted various awareness programs on reptiles’ myths and facts and more importantly educating people about what should be done primarily if faced with snake bites or other casualties.
